6 Blocks of Separation

Big blue doors

Tall windows

Flowers on the windowsill

Parked cars and resting bikes

Still leaves on sleeping trees

White house fronts

Yellow bulbs on tall black stems

The smell of home made dinner lingers in the air

Coffee tables in the street

Umbrellas, lampinons, candles

Ashtrays, coasters, High heels, dress shirts

Ice cubes in honey filled glasses

Bouncing lights

White linen stars

Clear spirits and capped brew

Ecstatic air, blue fumes rise everywhere

Hollow shop fronts

Empty stores

Abandoned stationary

Bakery fumes scent the air too soon

A smile

An embrace

Too far gone already

Bridges are none.
